Hey and welcome to July!

It's only the beginning of the summer and we have already had some record breaking heat. I hope you are all coping with it, especially those of us (including me) experiencing some stage of the menopause! 🫠

In our house we are following the World Cup ⚽ and enjoying seeing England making it through to the final 8. Could it finally be coming home?!🏆🤞

Some of you will be having the 'Summer Holiday Juggle' stress building with the kids finishing soon. Please do remember that children are most welcome at any of our sessions. We would love to meet them, how ever small or big they are. You will no doubt see my three at some point!

We have some great sessions coming up in July at all three locations, including a summer social evening at my house. We did this last year and it was great for everyone to just meet up and share some drinks and nibbles.

"Sarah, from Hera Photography, has spent over 30 years in the UK Armed Forces, in both the RAF and the Army.  She has seen the best and the worst of military life, from Northern Ireland to Afghanistan, Iraq and the Balkans.  On the 30 Jul at the Duncombe Arms Just Women Network she will talk about what is has been like as a woman in uniform over the last 30 years of change, the compromises made, the things she has quietly pushed back on and the moments of grit and humour that get you through, and ultimately, why she still choses to wear the uniform on a part-time basis after all this time."

Children are welcome at no cost. Suzanne's children will be there, ages 12 and twins 8, there is plenty of space and things for the children to run and play.

We are looking for more ladies to do a JUST ME please! This doesn't have to be a stand up presentation with a PowerPoint, you can choose how you would like to present. If you need help with preparing for it, there is help available from the Just Women team. We want to hear more about you all!

If you are free next weekend, then please pop along and visit the Whaddon Village Fete, Saturday 11th July 1pm - 4pm. We will be there supporting a stall through Diane's 'Knit and Natter' Group. Half of the proceeds will be going to the Arthur Rank Hospice, who are our chosen charity. There are still tickets available to win a beautiful blanket made by Knit and Natter and also 2nd and 3rd prizes.
